WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Approximately 12 yards of 12 gauge gold craft wire
- Snub nose pliers
- A sprig of bay leaves, laurel leaves, or eucalyptus
- Gold metallic spray paint
DIRECTIONS:
- Working in sections on the floor or at a table with plenty of space, unroll the length of the wire and straighten it.
- Using the pliers and your hands, bend the wire in alternating directions every 4 to 6 inches to create geometric shapes. Try to connect corners and be conscious of building three dimensional triangles and shapes as you work.
- Continue rolling out sections of wire and bending it into shapes until you have a piece about 4 feet long. Gently bend the piece into a circle and hook the ends into the geometric structure to close the wreath.
- Using thin even coats, spray the leaf sprig with gold spray paint. Allow paint to dry between coats.
- Thread gold leaf sprig through a section of the wreath.
- Use finishing nails to hang the wreath on your door or wall.
